The National Rural Heath Mission has moved on its
fourth year with active cooperation and participation of the state
governments. At this juncture it was important to take stock of the
progress made in the heath sector and also share the valid experience
and innovations across states so that the gains are multiplied manifold
in the coming years.
In the context of the above, the GOI organized a multi dimensional
workshop at Goa during 1st to 5th June 2008. The workshop was aimed at
providing a host of inputs to the states on new interventions in the
field of PPP, Health Insurance, Quality Assurance, Data Triangulation
and Financial Management etc.
This workshop was organized by MOHFW and supported by DFID and GTZ.
Various prominent speakers including the Principal Secretaries ,Mission
Directors etc from the states presented their experiences and case
studies showcasing the successes achieved through the NRHM. These
presentations gave a valuable insight to the innovations being carried
out in the Health Sector in the various states.
