REGIONAL LEPROSY TRAINING AND
RESEARCH INSTITUTE, GANJAM, ORISSA
 

6.37.1. This Institute was established in 1977, with the objective of providing training to leprosy staff, referral services to leprosy patients and operational field research in leprosy. The training faculty posts sanctioned consist of a Director, a CMO, a Surgeon, a Pathologist, a Senior Medical Officer and a General Duty Medical Officer. The categories of leprosy staff being trained at this institute are as under :

6.37.1.(i) Medical Officers, Non Medical Supervisors, Para Medical Laboratory Technicians.

6.37.2. The achievement of the Institute in providing training and referral services has been satisfactory. The other operational field research component requires improvement.

6.37.3. The budget estimate for the year 1998-99 is Rs. 35.00 lakh (Plan) and Rs. 54.00 lakh (Non Plan).
