MEDICAL EDUCATION TRAINING AND RESEARCH

6.1.1. The Centre has set up regulatory bodies for monitoring the standards of medical education, promoting training and research activities. This is being done with a view to sustain the production of medical and paramedical manpower to meet the requirements of the health care delivery system at the Primary, Secondary and Tertiary levels in the country. This chapter discusses the status of these activities conducted by the various bodies and institutions.
